A simple guide to reaching Golem from Tirana airport, Durres and nearby coastal towns.
Golem sits on the main coastal route south of Durres, making it one of the easiest beach towns to reach in central Albania.
From Tirana International Airport
The most direct route is by taxi or private transfer. The drive usually takes around 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic near Tirana and Durres.
If you are renting a car, follow the highway toward Durres, then continue south toward Kavaje and Golem. Keep your booking address ready for the final turn from the main road toward the beach area.
From Durres
Durres is close enough for a short taxi ride or a local bus connection. Travel time is often 20 to 30 minutes outside heavy weekend traffic.
